Environment and Mission :
As a radioprotection engineer you will enter a vibrant and inspiring environment where you work together in a Team of talented engineer working on challenging projects in the nuclear sector.
As an expert in radiation protection and radiological characterization, your mission is to participate in the preparation of bids, studies and projects.
They will concern radioprotection issues by performing radiation shielding calculations and the ALARA follow-up of nuclear installations, including interventions on site when needed.
You will work in the Radwaste and Radiation Protection Group (N53C), which is part of the Radwaste and Decommissioning Department involved in many nuclear projects related to radiation protection, radiological characterization and radiation monitoring systems.
You will gain knowledge about radiation protection codes and characterization methods. Your task will include specifying, ordering and commissioning radiation monitoring systems as well as managing dismantled waste.
Last but not least, you will be assisting Doel and Tihange nuclear power plants to answer ONDRAF / NIRAS queries about waste removal forms.
You have a completed engineering degree preferably in physics, with a strong will to develop your technical expertise. You have at least 2 years of experience in the nuclear industry and particularly in radiation protection is expected.
You speak English as well as either French or Dutch. You are open to gain new competencies as well as to share them
