Your function

As a trusted business advisor, you will be responsible for Accounting, Compliance and Reporting (ACR). This position provides the opportunity to leverage innovative thinking and financial savviness in order to provide tailored solutions to address our business needs and to help create a competitive advantage.

Overtime, you will grow into the role of the business controller.

The finance manager position asks for an individual with experience in how to organize the finance function in relation to a growing service company.

Below is an overview of what will be required of the position :

JOB PURPOSE / ROLE

  • Oversees the regional budget and forecast processes
  • Consolidates and analyses monthly reports
  • Communicates accurate, consistent and timely financial information to the local and group management
  • Strengthens the disciplines of accounting and internal controls, in compliance with local and group finance policies
  • Organizes and optimizes the financial organization
  • Improves both internal reporting and statutory accounting
  • Balance reconciliations
  • Is in control and first point of contact for internal and external audits and tax audits
  • Monitors cashflow and banking relations
  • Supports local management to achieve business and strategic goals
  • Manages the local finance team
  • Oversight :

  • Checks the consistency of financial data with business reality
  • Provides follow-up and relevant analysis when necessary
  • Builds a culture of engagement and inclusion
  • Reporting :

  • Manages and updates the system for local reports (financial and operational), using the Group's standard report templates
  • Ensures monitoring of financial and non-financial events in alignment to relevant KPIs
  • Budget / Forecast :

  • Takes a leading role to prepare regional budgeting and forecasting processes
  • ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

    Client responsibilities : you will work effectively as a member of a worldwide network of professional advisors and build strong internal relations within the practice and across other service lines.

    You’ll also build relationships with prospective clients and companies.

    Knowledge development : you follow up on all relevant changes in the accounting, compliance and reporting landscape and actively share this knowledge to support the continuous development of your colleagues.

    People responsibilities : you help people to develop through the effective conveyance of your knowledge and experience by supervision, coaching, and mentoring.

    You will also conduct performance reviews and contribute to people initiatives such as recruitment, retention and training.

    Qualifications

    We are searching for an intrinsically motivated professional with intellectual curiosity and strong analytical and entrepreneurial skills.

    Attention to detail will also be important for this role so that you can look beyond the numbers and help our business to handle complex challenges.

    More concretely, we are looking for the following profiles :

  • Masters' degree in Economics, or economic related field or accounting
  • Fluent in English and French, Dutch is an asset
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in an accounting firm
  • Strong leadership skills
  • A born team player who is critical, innovative and curious.
  • A people- and results-oriented individual
