Role
The project manager participates in the pre-sales phase (phase led by the team of bid managers) which consists of proposing infrastructure solutions in response to a need expressed by customers.
Then, the project manager implements the chosen solution in the project phase, a phase for which he is responsible.
He is the guarantor of compliance with the criteria of project delivery, project quality, planning and budget, while controlling project risks.
From the signature of the offer by the client until the transition to Run, the project manager is responsible for the project he is managing.
The project manager plans and monitors the progress of project work, coordinates the various contributors, manages project governance, budget monitoring, relations with external service providers, the customer’s management and customers.
Depending on the complexity and workload of the projects, he is usually responsible for several projects at the same time.
Manage the Infrastructure teams (Cloud Infrastructure teams, outsourcers, suppliers) as part of a project led by a project manager from another customer’s IT department
Be the point of contact for the project manager, for the Infrastructure part
The project manager must know how to do (or participate in) studies prior to a project, decision support files for management and b-cases.
Type of tasks
Project management : responsible for all activities related to project management (respect and monitoring of the project management process / management of Cloud Infrastructure teams, outsourcers and Infra suppliers / management of the budget, risks, project / project governance manager, etc.)
Infrastructure coordination : coordination of the Infrastructure teams in a project led by another department of the customer (objective : to ensure that the Infra delivery of the project is carried out, by the Cloud Infrastructure teams, outsourcers and Infra suppliers, in good conditions + be the Infra point of contact for the project manager)
Main tasks
Communicate, to the bid manager, the workload plan for the Project Manager (or Infrastructure Coordinator)
Participate in the realization of a first Project planning, Project governance, etc.
Organize, manage and plan the implementation of the infrastructure project, from the end of the pre-sales phase, to the Go to run, relying on internal and external skills
Manage the estimated Build budget in the pre-sales phase
Do the monthly budget follow-up and present it to the client
Anticipate budget overruns, alert and, after consultation, propose changes in scope or extension of resources if necessary
Coordinate (with the bid manager) the change requests requested by the client in project course and their budgetary impacts
Build the macro-planning of the project with the contributors and ensure that they validate it
Build detailed schedules and chronograms by environment, with the support of the experts, the architect, the outsourcer, and the suppliers and ensure that they validate it
Manage the work plan, follow the schedule, and ensure progress reporting
Anticipate, in the event of a change in the deadline, alert and propose solution scenarios, to arbitration
Participate in the choice of the technical solution in conjunction with the business and the technical experts, taking into account the policy of the customer
Ensure the planning of the tests
Deploy the project
Organize and coordinate the people involved in the project
Alert to possible disagreements between the various stakeholders and propose solutions
Supervise the progress of the project
Coordinate and summarize the validations, guarantee the quality of the validations pronounced
Ensure the circulation and dissemination of information / Reporting
Complete the necessary documents
Complete the information in the customer’s IT project management tool or on MS Teams
Write and archive the necessary documents throughout the duration of the project
Organize preparation workshops
Organize all the committees necessary for the project, according to what has been planned in pre-sale
Write the presentation of the committees and the CRs, for validation by the stakeholders
Have very good writing and oral skills to present the elements of the project to the management
Ensure, from project preparation, the availability of resources, then, throughout the project
Make the necessary internal reporting to the relevant division and to the client (weekly reporting at least)
Participate in weekly team meetings, with the relevant pole
If necessary, draw up and communicate your weekly load plan

Required experience
Languages : French + English (be able to manage a project entirely in English and French) written and spoken knowledge MANDATORY (+ Dutch : being able to speak Dutch with Belgian customers is a plus)
Minimum 5 to 7 years in managing infrastructure projects
Infrastructure technical knowledge (backup, storage, system, etc.)
ITIL v3 : knowledge and command of cross-functional processes (Change, Problem, Incident, etc.), CMDB, CAB, etc.
Management of cloud and / or on-premises infrastructure projects that may have a strategic impact for the customer and upstream of which the project manager plays the role of functional analyst
Management of infrastructure projects (cloud, move to cloud, on premises projects) of large size and / or high complexity (very important)
Management of infrastructure projects (cloud projects, move to cloud, on premises) of standard size or a complex project (possibly with the support of a more senior project manager)
