Provide and support the SITA IT Operations (ITO) team at Heathrow Airport as a part of the Project Management Office (PMO) working to provide project governance through a centralized management structure, supporting and delivering project functions comprising of Heathrow (HAL) ITO projects within the organisation.
Adhering to agreed project management methods with the aim of ensuring project standardization throughout the project lifecycle, raising scopes and quotes, providing support to relating teams involved in the successful implementation and delivery of projects through planning and scheduling, and implementation resource management.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and overview a selection of project desktop opportunities through their life cycle, including supplier engagement and coordination, allocating internal resources implementation of works, and liaising with customer contacts.
Ensure the agreed project management methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor the milestones and progression of the workflows and tasks associated with each request
Creating scoping and quote documentation
Use of the project administrative tools to progress projects through lifecycle, recording and reporting systems.
Preparation of monthly reporting including project summary reports.
Define and document procedures in accordance with agreed methodology
Advise and assist project team members in the application of project procedures disciplines and recording and reporting standards.
Maintain risk and issue logs and change control records.
To proactively detect problems related to Service Transition Process and Procedures, conduct diagnostics, provide service request ownership to ensure resolution.
Develop and support effective communication mechanisms between the project teams.
Undertake any other administrative tasks as specified.
Experiences Required :
Strong Communication skills
Knowledge and experience of a formal project management methodology
A high degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite and a willingness and skill to learn new programs quickly.
Project planning and scheduling ability
Experience of working on IT / IS projects / programmes
Good Organisation skills to support, troubleshoot, analyse and investigate issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and can manage cross functional relationships
Ability to multitask and have good time management skills and are a continuous learner.
Ability to adhere to and create process - Governance process creation and support.
Ability to priorities and take ownership of both individual and team assigned responsibilities.
