    To strengthen our Export Sales team at HQ (Ghent), we are currently looking to fill the following position :

    Your role

    You will be responsible for the business development and the actual customer portfolio for both Vandemoortele’s business lines : MCOF (Margarines, Culinary Oils & Fats), ànd Bakery Products.

    Your primary objective will be to meet the volume and margin sales objectives in your region while managing direct customers (retail, industry) and distributors (foodservice, bakery).

    You will report hierarchically to the International Commercial Manager Export MCOF but also work in close collaboration with the International Commercial Manager Bakery Products.

    Your key responsibilities and challenges are

  • development of sales and negotiation of contracts
  • exploring and studying markets in terms of customers’ needs / strategies, products, service, pricing, environment, potential partners.
  • development of custom-made solutions or concepts in close cooperation with R&D and other departments
  • enhancing the customer service level in close cooperation with the back-office team (forecasts, transit time, etc.)
  • analysis of the sales results in relation to objectives budgeted
  • assuring proper payments in collaboration with the credit controller
  • following up (local) competitors’ activities
  • About you

  • You hold a Master’s Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience in B2B sales. Experience in the food industry is an added value.
  • You have an entrepreneurial, result oriented and hunter’s spirit, with a real curiosity for new markets and segments.
  • Due to your interpersonal skills you can work effectively with people from different cultures but also at different levels.
  • You are happy to contribute to our excellent team spirit by your open communication and willingness to share knowledge amongst colleagues.
  • You are flexible and prepared to travel up to 30% of your time.
  • You are a well-organized, structured and autonomous worker.
  • You speak English fluently and preferably Dutch. An active knowledge of another relevant language (i.e. of the Balkan region) is a strong asset.
