From design to engineering and prototyping, all the way to production, packaging and stocking all is handled at the Delta Light headquarters in Wevelgem.
As Research Engineer in our R&D team, you support the technical competitiveness of Delta Light. You will do this by :
Carrying out research activities on various fields : LED, optics, materials, assembling techniques, ;
Investigating general complex issues and propose solutions to the product development team;
Using simulation software to analyze thermal / optical challenges;
Finding information in an independent way and working out challenges;
Documenting lessons learned an d spread the knowledge within the R&D team;
Scouting for trends on the market and propose research projects;
Proposing a practical implementation of the solution;
Developing yourself into an expert on the matter, since the research topics are very diverse.
You can rely on a solid technical background / education / experience.
You obtained a Master Degree in the field of physics, optics, mechanics,
You are able to quickly absorb new information.
You have a proper mix between practical & theoretical mindset, eagerness to find out and develop yourself and gain new insights.
You are independent, solution oriented and have an eye for detail.
Knowledge of modelling software and knowledge in the field of heat transfer and / or optics is a plus.
You can write and speak fluently in English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus
