    Position Summary :

    The person will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of financial analysis and reporting for the business.

    The FP&A function is an important link between the Ingersoll Rand Record-To-Report (RTR) organisation, Operations & Commercial Finance and the business leaders and will require exceptional analytical and reporting skills.

    The individual should have solid accounting knowledge and experience with financial consolidation and analysis, as well as being proficient with financial, ERP and data warehouse systems.

    You will report to the Europe FP&A Leader based in Brussels.

    Principal Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate and consolidate weekly Sales & Bookings results for leadership review, identifying commercial / operational drivers behind results.
  • Pre-close preparation of internal reporting templates for Commercial controllers.
  • Independently drive the financial monthend close in cooperation with the Commercial Controllers, Operations Finance and RTR and identify qualitative corrections.
  • Post close analysis of key financial variances (Sales & Bookings, Gross Margins, Cashflow) and report out to global FP&A.
  • Preparation of Monthly Operating Results presentation pack for business leaders.
  • Responsible for Balance Sheet review to ensure completeness and accuracy of provisions prepared by RTR team.
  • Gather historical data and deep dive analysis into trends on margin erosion and Cashflow leakage. This will require the individual to show initiative in formulating templates which will be used to report their findings to the business leaders and support them in their decision making.
  • Plan and coordinate the Quarterly Forecast and annual Budget, followed by consolidation and analysis of results. Involves the preparation of internal templates, identification of key operating / commercial changes and completion of financial reporting pack for global FP&A team.
  • The individual will have to work closely with both Finance and other support functions (Sales, Marketing, HR) to ensure we are aligned on the reporting of the future direction of the business.

  • Representing the business division in FP&A projects and leading roll out of new financial systems, as well as training to finance community of existing financial systems.
  • Profile :
  • Finance degree (Masters, CPA, ACA or CMA certification a significant plus).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting or controlling.
  • Fluent knowledge of English is essential.
  • A mature, confident and self-driven personality. Able to show initiative and work independently while rising to the challenge of senior management exposure.
  • Strong analytical skills, being able to take large extracts of raw data, break down into its components and draw meaningful insight.
  • Demonstrate effective reporting capabilities, condensing down operating results into informative summaries.
  • Must build good working relationships across the organization including the Finance Controllers, Operations Finance, Shared Services, HR & Commercial Functions.
  • Possesses strong organization and time management skills, and is able to manage multiple assignments concurrently and within a matrix organization.
