Your role :

As a Bid & Tender Manager you will be responsible for the smooth management of the entire bid / tender process as well as for leading a team of Bid & Tender specialists and also a team of Commercial Support specialists.

You and your team will assemble bid teams with the relevant service / product / business knowledge required to prepare a winning bid, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end proposal process.

In between bids, you will together with your team provide general commercial support to Sales in domains as com mercial reporting, sales presentations, logistics and master data.

At the core you are working on :

  • Providing leadership, direction and coaching to the team of Bid & Tender specialists
  • Managing the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for new opportunities
  • Managing virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders
  • Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer
  • Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process
  • Contribution to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation
  • Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids
  • Initiate, develop and implement processes, policies and procedures in order to ensure the consistency, efficiency and quality of bid and tenders
  • Drive continuous improvement regarding Proposal management by deploying best practices
  • General sales support activities

  • What you'll need to become successful :

  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum of 5 year experience in Proposal management
  • Fluent in local languages (Dutch & French) and English
  • Experience with managing complex projects and / or work streams
  • You build strong relationships, internally and externally
  • Commercial understanding and strong communication skills
  • High capability to manage efficient team working to produce the tender deliverables within a limited time period
  • Proactive approach
  • Negotiation skills
