The Skills You'll Need : Fluent in French / English + good Accounting related experience

Who You'll be Working for :
Our client, an international clean energy company is looking for a French / English speaking Accountant in their new office in Mons, Belgium.
What You'll be Doing Each Day :
Maintain daily books, including review accounts receivable and payable, oversee land lease compliance, incorporate prepayments, accruals, amortization & depreciation etc.
Perform monthly closing and reporting for both standalone and consolidated accounts
Ensure local and group tax compliance, including CBCR (Country-by-country-report)
Lead annual statutory audit and perform annual impairment tests for both assets and investments
Supervise all financial transactions including liaise with internal and external lenders to manage ongoing covenant tests, and deal with other financing partners
Assist with preparing the annual budget for the project and holding companies
Prepare and submit local statutory filings
Facilitate with the group requirements, follow group internal policies and procedures and impose an adequate level of control over accounting related activities
Undertake ad hoc projects as required
The Skills You'll Need to Succeed :
Accounting degree or equivalent qualification with five years or more related accounting experience
Integrity, result orientation, and determination to meet tight deadline with accuracy
Profound understanding and willingness to thrive in a cross-country / cross culture work environment
Excellent communication skill in English or French
Proficiency in MS-Office
Desirable Skills :
Experience within the energy business, or exposure to renewable energy, M&A or project finance transactions
Track record in adding value, driving performance improvement, and implementing efficiencies
Ability to communicate in Dutch and / or Chinese an added advantage
