Responsible for ingesting the content that is used to feed the Compumark’s products. Provides day-to-day supervision to a team of analysts and monitors the content ingest workflow.

Specific responsibilities include direct involvement in content ingest workflow management and participation in performance management of direct reports.

Occasionally assists the team with their production work. Closely collaborates with the Content Curation team leader. Recommends changes to improve productivity and quality in the content ingest workflow and continuously gives the team feedback.

Responsibilities :

  • Workflow Management : Assigns and delegates work to staff and monitors the content ingest workflow, including backlogs.
  • Ensures deadlines and quality metrics for intake, conversion and image processing are consistently met or exceeded. Prepares production and administrative reports.

    Verifies work of team for accuracy and completeness. May participate in process improvement initiatives at the team level, recommending efficiency and quality opportunities.

  • Performance Management : Participates in performance management of analysts on team (goal setting, mid-year review, and annual review as well as other ongoing performance management activities)
  • Training : Provides continuous feedback to direct reports. Responsible for development, training and coaching of new and existing staff.
  • Identifies training needs within the team.

  • Recovery : Partners with Manager, Process Lead and colleagues in the issue resolution and recovery efforts as they relate to the content ingest workflows and tools.
  • Problem resolution : Partners with Manager, Quality Lead and colleagues to investigate, mitigate and ultimately resolve problems impacting customers.
  • Scope and Impact :

    Leads a team of 10 to 15 content analysts and is responsible for on-time completion of the main content ingest processes, intake, conversion and image processing.

    Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinates work activities with the Content Curation team leader.

    Core task consists of supervising the team and monitoring the workflow, but may occasionally assist the team with production work, if needed.

    Technical / Professional Skills & Competencies :

    Technology : The ability to use a range of current technologies (i.e. Microsoft Office, Webex, Jabber, Sharepoint, etc.) to work effectively and to achieve enhanced business outcomes.

    Awareness / experience with / of production processes and workflow management tools.

    Product : The ability to understand the business context in which the company operates; this includes a basic understanding of the company's offerings and a deep understanding of the content ingest process and its importance for the CompuMark products.

    Communication : The ability to communicate effectively and tactfully face to face, in video conferences, in telephone conversations and in writing.

    Effectively communicates with staff, peers and managers. Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.

  • Time Management : Strong knowledge and application of the tools and techniques of time management to establish priorities and manage workload;
  • ability to achieve intended outcomes within allocated timeframes and resources; ability to effectively multitask.

  • Certification / Education :
  • College or University degree or equivalent experience
