Your Responsibilities :
The successful candidate will perform customized and state of the art Bioinformatics analyses and results interpretation in support of transversal vaccine R&D departments
The successful candidate will accomplish bioinformatics tasks applicable to the identification, design and optimization of recombinant protein subunit vaccines
Key Responsibilities :
Responsible for the conception and design of vaccine candidates by performing literature reviews, complex Bioinformatics enquiries, structural prediction and analysis and protein engineering.
Responsible for providing expert input in the integration, analysis and interpretation of the experimental results together with Molecular Biologists and Protein Scientists.
Responsible for developing and implementing innovative computational technologies to improve efficiency and speed of Preclinical R&D processes (writing scripts / optimizing / developing tools, implementing software and packages from external sources, ).
Provide general bioinformatics support to the whole R&D community for the generation of publications, patents, or regulatory submissions

Basic qualifications :
Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Structural Biology, Engineering, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a similar discipline with a strong focus on analysis and biological interpretation of bioinformatics data.
The successful applicant needs to show strong experience using a diversity of scientific software and an ability to develop analysis workflows with an emphasis on structural Bioinformatics.
Preferred qualifications :
Knowledge in the field of Bioinformatics :
Genome, gene and protein sequence analysis and annotation, integration of theoretical and experimental data to support gene expression optimization and other bioinformatics requests from different departments.
Proficient use of bioinformatics and protein structure computational tools in order to support identification and design of antigen targets.
Protein structure prediction, analysis and engineering
Familiar with one or more structural modeling programs such as Pymol, Chimera, MOE, Schrodinger, Rosetta
Ability to work with Molecular dynamics tools like Amber or equivalent software
Scripting and programming in languages such as Python, Perl, or R to develop and implement pipelines for analysis or to optimize available tools.
Knowledge of other languages, such as Java or C / C++ would also be an advantage.
Experience in Scientific software development and / or basic Immunology would be an asset.
Complementary requirement :
Strong statistical foundation with broad knowledge of deterministic and probabilistic statistical methods.
Experience with NGS, proteomics, and other high-throughput assays a plus.
Ability to acquire general knowledge in relation to the various projects ongoing in the department, as well as to maintain up to date knowledge in the field of bioinformatics, protein structure and antigen design.
Proactively identify, evaluate and implement new technologies or innovative concepts specific to his / her field of expertise.
The incumbent should have good communication skills in English. Ability to communicate in French is an asset.
The incumbent should have an open, proactive personality essential to work within an international researcher’s community.
The incumbent should be well organized, have a user-orientated spirit and be able to work on different projects in parallel.
Committed to solving biological problems and communicating these solutions. Proven success in independent efforts and delivering high quality data with biological relevance to customers.
Ability to write technical reports or section of technical reports and to provide written support for patent application.
Experience with working in complex matrix organizations expected.
Ability to represent the department in internal and external scientific meetings
