Our client is a Brussels based successful internal and change communication consultancy firm, whose mission is to enable and help organizations to design and implement the right communication initiatives needed to realize their vision and transformation objectives.

It differentiates itself through a unique approach : pragmatic, personalized, people-oriented, committed to results and exclusive support by leveraging the knowledge, competencies and resources of its clients.

They work with their clients and not for them. This co-creation mode is central in their way of working with clients.

It has the advantage to work in close collaboration with an international consulting company specialized in business strategy, operational excellence and human dynamics.

As such it has the privilege to be integrated in transformation projects since the early beginning.

Our client has an established and first-rate reputation with large, high-profile clients in Belgium (starting in the Netherlands and France) in the commercial, manufacturing, financial and public sector.

To support its further growth and development, our client is now looking to recruit a Senior Consultant I nternal & Change Communication.

Role :

The role will focus on the development and delivery of local and international communication engagements.

  • This can involve a.o. advice and assistance with the : measurement of the effectiveness of internal communication; the design and implementation of the strategy to improve the communication effectiveness and audience satisfaction and engagement;
  • the design and implementation of communication programs to support major changes; the identification and implementation of operational improvements in communication processes, systems and enabling technologies and coaching on communication skills.

    Key responsibilities and accountabilities :

    The key responsibilities can be summarized as follows :

  • providing experience based specialist / expert advice to external and internal clients on all aspects of Internal Communication;
  • from strategy to execution;
  • managing the successful and profitable delivery of related workstreams and projects;
  • proactively identifying likely issues that could impact delivery and lever wider organizational support as required;
  • developing strong client relationships and being recognized by them as a trusted advisor ;
  • growing the business through assisting with the origination of new opportunities and proposal development with both new and existing clients;
  • to Practice development through the deepening of functional knowledge and insight; the expansion of in-depth expertise;
  • codification of best practices and development of new services, tools, methodologies and staff competencies;
  • contributing to business management and further development of the organization and its people;
  • enhancing the reputation of our client through the quality of the deliverables, knowledge and experience.
  • Required Experience / Qualifications :

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and / or abilities required :

  • a minimum of 6 years Corporate Communication experience in relevant and progressively more responsible positions in either a communication consultancy or in a combination of consulting and project based corporate work;
  • a minimum of 4 years of direct experience with the design and delivery of successful and effective Internal and Change Communication programs;
  • balanced skills and experiences in the three key-domains of the role : Client, People and Practice development and management;
  • advanced knowledge and deep understanding of the current Communication theories, principles, processes, technologies and best practices;
  • proven experience with the use of state-of-the-art digital technologies and social media within corporate communication;
  • excellent organizational, planning and project / program management skills;
  • transformation and change management expertise is an advantage; recognizing its importance and willingness to develop these skills will be required;
  • a Master’s degree in a Communication, Industrial Psychology or Business-related field or equivalent by experience.

  • effective interpersonal and coaching skills and proven ability to adapt and getting things done in matrix organizations and in culturally different client environments;
  • strong team and people orientation (empathy) and a demonstrated leadership capability, able to inspire and coach teams to success;
  • able to work at times under high pressure and strict deadlines;
  • strong commitment to further develop his / her knowledge and skills.
  • Duration : permanent

    Languages : good active knowledge of Dutch, French and English is required
