Director, Finance Operations
About the role :
As part of our global leadership team and reporting directly to the CFO, the Director of Finance Operations leads the global accounting operations of the company, including all internal and external financial reporting, maintenance of all accounting systems and internal controls designed to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards, international tax and regulatory compliance requirements and global billing, collections and treasury operations.
In addition, this person provides strategic and operational direction to drive responsible growth, including revenue recognition policies, expense management, variable compensation and key financial and operational metrics.
Responsibilities include :
Manage, coach and mentor a highly skilled, growing and fast paced global Finance Operations team
Ensure consistent and timely monthly internal and external financial reporting for domestic, foreign and consolidated entities
Oversee the year-end audit and tax returns for both domestic and foreign entities; manage all external auditors, tax consultants, and other service providers
Continuously drive improvement projects that achieve increased efficiencies and effectiveness through automation, streamlined processes and guidelines
Support the go-to-market teams with financial insights and reporting and overseeing the global variable compensation program
Manage all treasury operations and banking relationships
Identify and ensure compliance across all accounting and tax regulatory requirements including local GAAP, IFRS and transfer pricing
Be the collective voice of finance operations for cross departmental projects and initiatives
Work closely with the CFO to support various strategic and operational ad hoc requests and analysis
Lead global teams through fostering career development, collaboration, innovation and creative critical thinking and problem solving
Apply accounting data to help set and achieve aggressive goals within the finance operations team as well as the broader organisation
Work effectively with the executive team and all levels of management to develop positive cross-functional working relationships
Use of financial, statistical and economic data to assess and manage risk
A degree in Accounting or Finance (Master degree a plus)
Minimum 7 years experience in an international environment
Knowledge of BE GAAP and IFRS (US GAAP a plus), corporate tax and transfer pricing experience; familiar with ERP programs (Netsuite a plus)
