Job summary As a Facility Engineer you will be responsible for all processes and projects related to our facilities and their equipment.
You will be responsible for several buildings including manufacturing site, warehouse and office space. You will also participate in projects defined by other departments (Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Sourcing, IT).
Your role will include international market research and benchmarking concerning facility services and equipment. You will coordinate & plan with the facility team of 3 people and 3rd parties.
Key responsibilities : Being part of the Technical department, works closely with engineers, maintenance and facility employees.
Performs and oversees the operation, inspection, repair of facilities support equipment including (but not limited to) electrical distribution, IT support equipment, fire detection / suppression, chilled water systems, emergency power supply, housekeeping etc.
Main point of contact for repairs and employee needs; lighting, painting, floor repairs, plumbing and other building related issues.
Works closely with external systems integrators, subcontractors and other departments in the company to find the best possible solution.
Acting as a motor of innovation, stays up to date with the latest technologies. Controls a smooth transfer during and after the handover of projects to the facility team and others.
Controls continuous improvements and optimizations on facility processes. Prepares reports, analyses data and makes recommendations for improving facility projects.
Provides input for making the CAPEX budget. Controls outsourcing strategy. Coaches the Facility team, plans their activities and stimulates the growth.
Responsible for safe, effective and efficient execution of the facility tasks. Controls spare parts, technical documents and follows up on inspections.
Responsible for the Facility Warehouse and Toolshop. Executes tests, analyses results and reports findings and actions. Assists in making the budget and controls the spending related to engineering.
Complies with existing policies, instructions and procedures concerning safety & environment as well as ISO system. Minimum qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree (Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent) Experience with facility maintenance / management projects Ability to comprehend schematics, site drawings and equipment manuals Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken) Preferred qualifications : Good communicator Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team Quick learner Ability to work in an innovative and creative way, to think out-of-the-box.
