Sapphire House Antwerp will be the first Autograph Collection by Marriott opening Q1 2022. This historic building, dating from the 16th century, will once welcome guests in one of its 139 rooms and suites.

This luxury lifestyle hotel is located adjacent to the magnificent Handelsbeurs where nowadays memorable meetings and conventions take place.

Merchants and travellers from all over the world have been coming to Antwerp since the 16th century to trade in goods and gems, as from 2022, Sapphire House Antwerp will welcome these merchants (corporate) and travellers (leisure) once again.

At Sapphire House, we combine the rich elements of Antwerp’s past with the 5* luxury of today.

As F&B Supervisor at Sapphire House Antwerp you will work closely with the Chef. You will supervise the employees and report to the GM.

You are ultimately responsible for the quality of the service and advice provided to guests in all phases of their stay in the restaurant.

The focus is on guest satisfaction and quality. Hereby you take into account the guidelines and Brand Standards of Marriott.

Tasks :

  • Leading the F&B department while observing the Marriott Brand Standards;
  • Contributing to innovative beverage and menu menus for the various outlets ;
  • Training new colleagues within the department;
  • Conducting various (performance and assessment) interviews with F&B employees;
  • Optimising the turnover, margins and price-quality ratios within the F&B outlets;
  • Supervising internal procedures and external regulations within the set frameworks;
  • Disciplined monitoring of compliance with the house rules and regulations in the field of safety and HACCP;
  • Advising on the design of the department and improvement of existing systems and procedures;
  • Implementing improvements / adjustments;
  • Training, supervising and stimulating direct employees;
  • Ensuring an adequate administration and supplying the required data and (management) reports;
  • Explaining and justifying results, deviations and activities for improvement.
  • Profiel

    Someone who can manage a team with great enthusiasm and has the following qualities :

  • TSO work and thinking level with a preferably completed (higher) hotel school;
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar managerial position (hotel and / or restaurant);
  • Guest-oriented, thinks in terms of challenges and opportunities, not in terms of problems;
  • Commercial & competitive minded; always looking for opportunities / opportunities to increase turnover & efficiency;
  • High sense of responsibility;
