Scope
We are looking for a passionate Scrum Master to help in the implementation of Scrum within EVS.
The Scrum Master is responsible to ensure that Scrum is understood and enacted by ensuring that the Scrum Team adheres to Scrum theory, practices, and rules.
The Scrum Master is a servant-leader for the Scrum Team. The Scrum Master helps those outside the Scrum Team understand which of their interactions with the Scrum Team are helpful and which aren’t.
The Scrum Master supports teams and changes interactions if needed to maximize the value created by the Scrum Team. The scrum master is responsible for monitoring the scrum processes and scrum meetings.
Job Description
Guiding the team and the organization on how to use and how to get the most out of the Agile / Scrum practices and values
Assisting with internal and external communication, by building a trusting, safe and transparent environment where problems can be raised without fear of being blamed or being judged
Facilitating getting the work done
Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Organizing and facilitating the Scrum artefacts : daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning meetings, sprint review meetings, sprint retrospective meetings, release retrospective meetings
Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example
Supporting and guiding the Product Owner in his tasks and best practices :
How to provide the team with a great Product Backlog
How to provide teams with clear product vision and customers feedbacks
How to manage the Sprint and Release planning efficiently in an empirical environment, together with the team
How to maximize the collaboration between the team and the Product Owner’s stakeholders (i.e during the demo)
Serving the development team in several ways including :
Guiding the team on self-organizing and continuous improvements, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
Removing impediments and / or guiding the team to remove impediments
Mediating the general conflict of goals between the development team and Product Owner
Helping the Scrum team to find a suitable Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
Helping the team to maintain their Scrum tools (Storyboard, Action board, charts, backlogs, etc.)
Serving the organization in several ways including :
Helping employees and stakeholders to understand and enact Scrum and empirical product development
Implementing with the Scrum team changes that increase the productivity and product delivery
Answering questions regarding Agile methodology for all EVS employees
Working with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization
Developing a culture for continuous learning and continuous improvement
Profile
Tech savvy and have an entrepreneurial mindset
Know enough tech to talk tech and enough business to talk business
Very good communication and leadership skills
Believe in an "Agile Scrum" approach to product development which is focused on a constant cycle of feedback, measurements, and optimization
Able to give and receive feedback
Able to manage and set expectations with stakeholders, displays strong negotiation skills
Able to make critical decisions quickly
Able to execute tasks autonomously

Deep understanding of high technology with the ability to understand the details experience in the video and / or broadcast / media industry is a strong asset
