Field Service Operations is responsible for execution of all field service related activities, resource management and competence development of Service Engineers and will support planning of resources through Central Planning and Service Administration being part of Field Service Operations.

You have a good understanding and solid experience of service business and products and are truly Customer oriented. You have a technical background, demonstrated strong leadership abilities and you are achievement orientated.

The Field Service Operations team leader will work in close cooperation with Customers, Field Service Operations area manager, Central Planner and TKAMs with focus on customer and employee satisfaction.

You will report to the Field Service Operations area manager.

This position is based in GrootBijgaarden, Belgium .

Your main responsibilities :

  • Manage a team of approx. 15 Service Engineers
  • Manage and develop personnel in line with global processes and tools
  • Drive competence development for your team
  • Educate, coach, support and share experience with colleagues and customers
  • Drive for employee engagement, employee satisfaction, technical improvements, high performance and utilisation
  • Provide overall leadership, expertise, advice and consultancy for solving technical escalated issues
  • Manage resources with regards to individual and team performance in accordance with set targets
  • Prioritise and assign resources to orders and inquiries at our customer sites within your geographic area
  • Qualifications :

  • Technical / engineering education, preferably at University level or similar
  • 5-10 years of work experience as Service Engineer
  • People management experience is a must
  • Knowledge in processing and food safety is an advantage
  • High level of mechanical and electrical competence
  • High level of analytical problem-solving methodology, a good understanding of service business, service products and customers’ needs
  • Self-driven, highly motivated and independent personality
  • Excellent negotiation skill and informal authority to motivate and influence people at all levels
  • Fluency in Dutch and good English command both verbal and written is a must
  • Willingness to travel
