Sopra Steria is currently looking for a Data Protection Senior Consultant to strengthen its Cyber Security and Consulting Agency located in Brussels.
Roles & Responsibilities :
You will be responsible for the on-the-job Data protection activities .
You will be responsible for maintaining a close contact with Sopra Steria clients.
You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate knowledge sharing to team members.
You will assist the Security team managers and partners in the creation, review and presentation of commercial offers to clients.
You will assist the Security team managers and partners in the further development of the privacy and data protection practice.
You provide assistance with respect to data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and you monitor the follow-up of the advice
You provide external clients with privacy compliance guidance on specific privacy business questions
You assist external clients in their Privacy governance process
You contribute to the definition of the Sopra Steria data protection customer strategy in connection with the data valorization initiatives
You monitor the evolution in data protection / privacy law and case law to translate it into compliance practices to reduce the risks of data breaches and of operational, contractual, administrative, judicial and reputational disputes
Skills & Qualifications
You have a legal, political, business or economic background, with a strong interest for information systems, with 4-6 years of practical experience in operationalizing Privacy and Data Protection;
any additional certification (CISA, CISM, CIPP / e, CIPT, CIPM, CISSP, ISO27001, DPO, or other) are considered a plus.
You have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of market-leading tooling (OneTrust, TrustArc, Microsoft, ServiceNow, or other), supported by professional certification is a plus.
You are Fluent in English and have a good understanding of Dutch and / or French.
You have excellent knowledge of GDPR and other relevant privacy and data protection legislation and have active experience with GDPR implementation projects;
You have an interest in and an understanding of IT security
You have a digital mindset and are passionate about new developments in privacy and data protection regulation and business
You have strong critical, analytical and synthesis competences which enable you to solve complex problematics
You are detail orientated with strong ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining high quality and performance under pressure
You are hands-on, convincing, honest, agile, hard working, result driven, able to work independently and disciplined
