As a custodian for the operating model the Business Architect enables the process consultants in our group to improve processes, partners both with internal as well as external to support Clinical Operations in system implementation projects and supports our group in upholding Quality Management including Vendor Oversight and CAPA Management.

The Business Architect keeps and maintains the Clinical Operations Business Architecture current and of high quality documentation (artefacts such as process models, process documentation, user requirements, business capability views, role descriptions, etc.).

Tasks & responsibilities

  • As a Business Architect you are accountable for quality of all business architecture artefacts during each life cycle development stage of a process initiative.
  • You are also responsible for quality assurance of process designs developed during process initiatives.
  • You support the Clinical Operations Process and Information (COPI) organization in keeping oversight on its vendors and connected corrective and preventive actions.
  • You maintain a high level of COPI internal and external staff enablement in business architecture methods.
  • In your new role you are accountable for architectural integrity during each life cycle development stage and ensuring release projects are optimally supported with architecture documentation.
  • Requirements

  • Masters Degree in natural sciences or business administration
  • 1-3 years experience in Clinical Operations as a trial clinical monitor, on-site monitor, etc.
  • 1-3 years experience in business architecture management and / or process management, preferably member of a Business Architecture Guild
  • 3+ years experience in implementing systems in the GCP area, ideally in global settings and practical experience in computer validation incl. 21 CFR Part 11
  • Experience in quality management
  • Experience in project management
  • Demonstrated consulting skills and excellent process modeling skills
