Key responsibilities & tasks
Coordinates one (or more) ASIC design projects from start to finish, handling all aspects of the project(s) within a mutually agreed (see Project assignment) budget and timeframe.
Shares design experiences with designers of the company.
Contributes to the achievement of the quality objectives as stated in the quality policy of AnSem
Reports frequently status, progress and issues to customer and management.
Project planning & follow-up
Produces a complete detailed project plan versus the customer requirements to meet customer quality and delivery objectives
Makes a case for any deviations versus preliminary workload estimations made for project acquisition purposes.
Re-uses as much as possible from previous design projects
Accepts the project by signing the Project assignment
Approves project planning by signing the Project Progress Checklist (PPC) - section planning
Negotiates with Team Leaders and VP Engineering for appropriate project staff allocation
Distributes and enforces agreed project planning to project team members
Sets up project documentation structure and other project related infrastructure according to the AnSem quality management system
Takes appropriate action when project team gets into technical difficulties
Determines system level and block / circuit level specifications in conjunction with customer
Makes Datasheet and communicates with customer
Writes the pre-study document and tracks it to approval
Makes pre-study report and delivers it to customer
Discusses technical design issues with CTO
Performs reviews of all project deliverables
R eporting & Communication
Communicates and discusses project status, progress and (technical) issues of the project with customers and management.
Organizes Review meetings with MT at key project milestones.
Reports technical risks proactively to customer and management
Organizes and updates project related documentation :
Makes Project Progress Checklist (PPC), puts it in project binder and keeps it up-to-date
Set-up directory structure and mailbox for new project.
Prepares Design documents, Design review documents and Layout review documents and tracks them to completion including customer remarks
Tracks all project related issues to conclusion
Hands over all received printed project related documentation to Admin
Ensures technology set-up is performed correctly
Deliverables (e.g. Tape-out) :
Notifies MT that project is ready for tape-out
Writes / updates PPC and Tape-out review document and tracks it to approval
Makes notes of all oral communication with external parties.
Organizes project kick-off meeting with team members
Organizes weekly design team meeting
Reviews weekly time sheets with team members.
Reports technical findings and results of the design
Organizes wrap-up meeting after a key deliverable (e.g. tape-out) has been released
Prepares weekly project meeting with Project Officer.
Writes and delivers meeting minute reports to customer (when required by customer).
Master in Microelectronics, preferably with at least 8 years of relevant experience in analog and mixed-signal design
Proven leadership and people management skills in small multidisciplinary teams
Experienced in project-based work
You are known to be analytical, pro-active and customer oriented, discretion is your middle name
Verbal and written communication skills in English
