Your Challenge

The Sales Manager Pet Nutrition EMEA drives and supports the commercial efforts covering pet food manufacturers in the EMEA region.

You will be responsible for developing the regional sales strategy, achieving individual and cumulated sales targets, leading / participating in the assigned strategic projects and strengthening customer relationships.

Your role is one of selling, managing, coaching, influencing, coordinating and providing leadership to the sales team.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Build up and maintain sustainable, professional client relations with key accounts
  • Negotiate regional contracts with key accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with global pet nutrition team and European Animal Health & Nutrition (ANH) organization to formulate, recommend and communicate commercial strategies considering sales, profit and innovation goals.
  • Conduct market analysis to develop and acquire insights into competitor structures and organizations and identify product portfolio opportunities.
  • You will also communicate relevant customer and competitor information systematically within the European and global pet team..

  • Coach and motivate local account managers to achieve pet food sales targets.
  • Collaborate with ANH team to bring best in class service and value to DSM pet nutrition customers.
  • Identify customer driven opportunities to innovate new products and technologies that bring value to our customers and DSM.
  • Act as interface between European sales team, customers and global pet nutrition team to realize these opportunities.

  • Support and facilitate product / concept launches together with other relevant functions.
  • Track performance of the European pet customer portfolio by customer and report accurately and timely.
  • Participate as key member of the global pet team and global pet key customer teams.
  • About You :

  • You have a Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in science / technology or business field
  • You have knowledge of and experience in pet food industry or similar
  • You will be able to demonstrate your industry knowledge, market experience, in-depth know-how about products and / or applications related to animal health and nutrition.
