About the profile we are looking for
We are looking for a French-speaking environmental scientist with previous experience in environmental, health and safety (EHS) management, who is keen to manage projects and keep up with the latest developments in our field of expertise.
In your new role, you will manage and perform projects for multinational clients. You will assist clients meeting their environmental and safety objectives and improve their Operational Performance in an international context.
The position also includes a specific EHS and environmental compliance support to a Technology; Media & Telecommunications sector (TMT) Client for sites located around Europe.
About your role as Consultant
Manage and perform environmental, health, safety and sustainability projects involving multi-site portfolios and multi-person project teams locally, nationally, and globally.
Perform EHS compliance assessments at industrial and commercial facilities, and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with national and local regulations.
Prepare concise reports that assess potential EHS liability risks, and compliance and operational status of industrial facilities.
Communicate with clients, ERM employees and subcontractors.Have the ability to succeed in a consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines, managing project budgets.
Have good problem solving skills with the ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions.
Specific support to TMT Client
Willingness to work at the Client site located in the Hainaut, Walloon Region in a multicultural and innovative environment.
Advise the Client on EHS management in the TMT sector and manage projects across EU on EHS specific topics.Assist the Client in managing the environmental compliance of existing and new sites across EU.
Assist in design reviews throughout a datacentre Life Cycle-planning.Review environmental studies and assist in managing environmental challenges for the sites both on a technical and legal perspective.
About your skills and experience as Consultant :
Master degree in engineering, environmental science or related discipline.The ideal candidate has 5 to 10 years’ experience in the EHS field and knowledge of construction safety topicsYou have a good knowledge of the Walloon environmental and Belgian Health and Safety regulations and experience in managing environmental (and permitting) projects across EuropeYou are motivated, enthusiastic and team player.
You have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills as well as experience in writing comprehensive technical reports.
You are a quick learner with an eye for detail and strong working ethic.You are able to develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients,You can identify and capitalize on sales opportunitiesYou have ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
You also have excellent English and French language skills both verbal and writing,You own a driving license (B).
