What you will do
The Finance Reporting Expert partners with imec business / executive leaders to develop, advice on and implement finance solutions to critical and strategic business reporting needs.
Therefore, you use your knowledge and understanding of the imec business and imec's future challenges and contribute to the definition to the long-term finance strategy.
You act as an expert and reference in reporting and will be consulted for advice in critical / strategic (finance-related) business issues
You take up the role of project manager for projects that may have a strategic impact on imec
You are accountable for decision taking and direction regarding finance reporting.
Therefore, you
develop, evaluate and improve the financial reporting processes in collaboration with your (finance) colleagues, taking into account the changing needs and requirements of the organization.
improve and implement a cohesive framework to assure reliable financial reporting.
support and advice internal customers on the above matters.
contribute to highest data quality and ensuring comparable data ranges over time, incl. guidelines, formats and deadlines in relation to external reporting.
take responsibility about the reporting process and deliver ready to review reports, presentations, dashboards.
overview and coordinate the different external and corporate (finance) reporting requirements of imec stakeholders. (e.
g. EU, Flemish government, other ad hoc questions, etc...). Some examples : Impact studies Annual reports KPI reporting State aid reporting EU reporting directive (e.
g. sustainability) US reporting requirements Ad hoc reporting
Ensuring clear reconciliations and alignment with internal (business) reporting and FISP team
Interfacing with several team leaders within imec, who are contributing to reports
Give support and advice to internal customers on the above matters.

Who you are
You have at least 10 years of experience with setting up strategically finance reporting processes. Therefore, a prior experience as a finance auditor is a big plus.
Your knowledge of state-aid regulation will help you to be up and running in your job quickly.
Good analytical skills in combination with a high level of accuracy, will be valued by everyone you will work with.
As a person, you go for excellence in what you do.
You connect easily with others and can build relationships of trust and respect.
Because our financial reports and some audits are done in Dutch, a good professional level of Dutch is required.
In addition, since you will work in a multi-cultural and international environment, your knowledge of English needs to be good.
