About the Opportunity

Sanofi is currently welcoming applications for the role of Country Trade Head Belux.

  • The Country Trade Head function is a key role in the management of the Trade Actors to drive a robust Trade Strategy process at country level;
  • deliver BUs sales and Gross to Net (GtN) objectives per channel and support capabilities development for retail and non-

    retail channels and serves as key interface for Global and Regional Trade function.

    Key responsibilities

  • Owns Sanofi Trade channel and customer strategies for the entire sanofi portfolio, both for retail and non-retail channels;
  • Responsible for route-to-market decisions, including direct vs. indirect distribution;
  • At key account level, retail and non-retail, being the one face to the customer, in charge of developing sustainable customer partnerships through joint business plans / cross functional action plans and customer development plans, responsible for the negotiation and coordination of the activation plan for the BUs;
  • Ensures the effective operation and development of cross-portfolio management in the Trade Channel;
  • Acts as the ambassador in the affiliate for trade customer centricity and proactively proposes customer solutions to the divisions;
  • Ensures effective decision-making and monitoring of Trade investments ( Revenue Management’) via ownership of the Customer Account Profitability (CAP) and ensures the achievement of customer targets (sales, profit, service level, customer satisfaction);
  • Responsible for consistency of cross-divisional commercial policies (including discounts, payment terms, customer advantages and payments to point of sales such as service fees) based on BU inputs, proposing optimizations (i.
  • e. GtN), arbitrages and alternative solutions;
  • Manages the Tender team for Institutional Channel, to ensure on-time high quality offers submission;
  • Co-Leads the Trade & Pricing Steering Committee with Market Access.
  • Essential requirements :

  • Master’s degree level education or equivalent by experience;
  • Previous experience of conducting negotiations with Key Accounts (+3 years);
  • Strong knowledge of direct and indirect distribution channels within the pharmaceutical industry;
  • Strong analytical ability;
  • Business acumen;
  • Strong negotiation and networking and entrepreneurial skills;
  • Fluency in French and Dutch, as well as English.
