We are looking for an experienced National Manager to grow and develop the insurance broking organization of NACORA Belgium by increasing both operational capabilities and the client portfolio within all commercial insurance lines.

Your Role As a National Manager of Nacora, you will have a special focus on marine cargo, logistics liability, trade credit and Sales of commercial insurances.

You will be responsible for the growth and development of the insurance broking organization in accordance with NACORA’s global development strategy and local market requirements within Belgium.

In addition, this position will need to ensure that all the personal and company licenses are valid and updated so that all the national (and international) legal, regulatory and license requirements for insurance activities are met.

Lastly, you are responsible for steering and developing your team further to achieve the needed results. Your Responsibilities Managing the expectations and risks involved in the activities performed by NACORA / Kuehne + Nagel and its employees.

Maintaining relevant and strategic insurance market cooperation to ensure the best in class placement capacities and conditions for NACORA.

You would be developing a sustainable business portfolio across all the commercial insurance lines.Developing further our joint distribution concept for Marine Cargo Insurance in order to ensure good business relationship of Kuehne + Nagel and its management.

  • Retention of / cross selling to existing customers with a key focus on the following insurance lines (including but not limited to them) : Marine Cargo Insurance;
  • Marine Cargo Insurance Direct Third Party Business; Logistics Liability Risks direct Third Party Business; Commercial Insurance sales all lines (including the above) and as required- the following : General Liability Insurance;
  • Property Damage and Business Interruption Insurance; Workman’s Compensation and Employers Liability Insurance; Crime Insurance;
  • Trade Credit Insurance; Motor Liability; Financial Lines; Cyber Risk Coverage.You would be developing the Marine Cargo insurance sales revenue with customers of Kuehne + Nagel by : Implementing the national targets in accordance with the expectations defined by NACORA’s global product manager (Marine Cargo);
  • Ensuring that the Standard cargo insurance results and performance follow ups are reported to Kuehne + Nagel Management as per corporate Marine Cargo standards;
  • Developing cargo insurance policies and programs tailor-made to meet the needs of various industries and clients.You are responsible to manage and develop your team of up to 5 employees.

    Your Skills and Experiences University degree in economics or insurance, with specialization in Foreign Trade / Commercial Insurance or EU Commercial insurance broker licenseRegulatory License Belgium you hold all valid licenses to sell commercial insurance products shown in this job description and you meet the approval criteria of the financial authorities in BelgiumExperience in (transportation) cargo insurance / law, logistics and product liability, insurance (national and international), civil liability, property and fire, and all commercial insurance linesExperience in People ManagementMinimum 5 years of experience in dealing with the day-to-day insurance broker management, business development and sales cargo insuranceYou speak fluent Dutch and English and advanced FrenchYou are available for the national / international travels (minimum 40% of the working time would be out of office) Good Reasons to Join We are offering a position within strong international environment with a competitive salary and opportunities for further development within the Kuehne + Nagel Group.
