YOUR ROLE

As Accountant , you are part of our global corporate Finance & Legal team , which is the beating heart of all financial management and operations at InSites Consulting.

Our teams are currently based in Ghent (Belgium), Manchester (U.K.), Timisoara (Romania) & Asia. You, together with the co-located team, will further strengthen and build our rapidly growing corporate Finance & Legal team in our office in Ghent.

In your role as Accountant you are the right hand of our Senior Accounting Manager , who is responsible for A-Z accounting of several of the InSites Consulting group companies.

You will have a variety of responsibilities, from assisting in the monthly closing & general financial operations of our larger companies to taking ownership of the accounting of smaller legal entities.

You will collaborate closely with our shared service center in Romania. They are responsible for processing financial transactions (accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank transactions).

InSites Consulting is a dynamic and forward-thinking company, which requires a dynamic and hands-on finance team. Next to that, we have acquired several companies in the past years, which need to be integrated in our financial processes.

Consequently, you will be involved in multiple projects , next to your day-to-day responsibilities. Depending on our learning curve and personal ambition, you will definitely have the opportunity to grow in your role .

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As right hand of our Senior Accounting Manager, you will be trained in the following responsibilities :

Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable

Assist and perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings

Payroll accounting and reconciliations

Manage fixed assets and depreciations

Deferred and accrued costs

Assist in VAT declarations & related reports

Produce error-free accounting reports

Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency

Assist in preparation of the statutory annual accounts

Assist with tax audits and tax returns

Assist with external audits to ensure compliance

Your expertise

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting

At least 3 years of experience in accounting or audit

Proficient in English, both spoken and written

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles

Hands-on experience with accounting software

Good Microsoft Office knowledge (especially Excel)
