About the Role

As the End-to-End Open Chain planner, your role consists of 2 core responsibilities :

1. Leading the S&OP cross-functional process

2. Governance of the end-2-end sustainable to bean open supply chain

You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders. You are a true business partner for the commercial & financial leadership teams (internal) and our external partners (Tony Chocolonely and Mission Allies).

You will drive the decision-making process by capturing the correct demand signal & business performance. Your leadership will have a significant business impact on our sustainability commitments (internal & external), customer service, working capital, and key innovations.

You will have an in-depth understanding of the customer’ needs and help drive collaboration and intimacy with key customers.

With regards to the governance model, you will translate the demand needs into raw material requirements, collect and coordinate all necessities to secure a flawless execution.

The flow is designed in such a way to aim for zero waste. This is done by a pull model from chocolate to bean . In short, you will be the orchestrator of the Sustainable to Bean model and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities Include

Demand

  • Lead the demand planning & volume decision-making process for your scope and geography
  • Challenge commercial leadership & customer assumptions where necessary using strong data-based analysis to ensure realism
  • Build an integrated bottom-up volume forecast (18 months dynamic) for your portfolio
  • Understand past / future assumptions and market data at the appropriate level of detail and horizon
  • Reconcile top-down, bottom-up demand and gain consensus on new forecast assumptions
  • Intensively work with business partners (Commercial & Financial analysts) on risks and opportunities, communicate them appropriately to SC counterparts (provide context beyond the numbers)
  • Take overall responsibility for the demand plan figures within the Demand Planning system (APO-DP), ensuring they are representative of the S&OP latest cycle consensus plan
  • Improve forecast efficiency (embrace fewer touches, focus on value-adding forecast), forecast bias, and customer service levels)
  • Constrain the forecast according to bean availability.
  • Run monthly analysis of Sales vs. Plan and update the future assumptions according to the conclusions from the past
  • Lead the volume budgeting process for your geographical area

  • You will translate the output of the Integrated Business Planning needs into raw material requirements, collect and coordinate all necessities to secure a flawless execution to secure excellent service level and minimal waste.
  • Coordinate with internal owners and manage external stakeholders
  • Have a solid understanding of the detailed view and how every link impacts the total chain
  • You are capable to assess when deviations occur and act to avoid business and / or compliance disruption
  • Manage the helicopter view, consolidate and share progress with key stakeholders

  • About You

  • Degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain, economics, or finance
  • 5-10 yrs’ experience in integrated supply chain and ideally planning, managing a portfolio with high product and channel complexity
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, APO, BW reporting) is a plus
  • Strong analytics, communication, and collaboration skills. Able to work in virtual teams and cross-functional teams. Ability to balance day-to-day detail with long-term helicopter view.
