We are pleased to announce the role of Lead Java Software Developer for the Baggage Portfolio's Bag Manager application, a market leading Baggage Reconciliation System.

In line with our DevOps transformation we are building a full practice collocated team in London Gate for the Baggage portfolio.

You will be working in the beating heart of the Baggage team, which is head quartered in London Gate. We are looking for candidates who are dedicated to becoming the best they can be and help us dominate the challenging and rewarding Baggage Processing markets.

PURPOSE

The Lead Java Developer would need to be a strong java lead with extensive years of experience. For this role, the ideal candidate must have technical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead a small team of offshore / onshore developers

Reviews design documents and provides feedback on approach and estimates

Ensures that software meets or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

6+ years of experience as Java / J2EE developer

Good knowledge of UI development (Java Server faces)

Strong knowledge of the Spring framework

Experience with server-side development

Strong knowledge of web services (WSDL Soap, Restful)

Proficient and hands on with Application Servers (Jboss)

Good knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Exposure to microservices mesh architecture

Angular / React JS

No Sql databases (PostgreSQL / memsql)

Cloud computing (AWS)

Agile Devops Principles

EDUCATION

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Sciences or Engineering.

Professional programming certification in a mainstream programming language is a plus.

Formal training in project management preferred
