Dedicated to one of our Key Account customer, the Business Development Manager has the task to introduce new Sartorius technologies in the molecules of the future of the customer.
He / She is in contact with R&D, PD Centers and QC Labs of the Key Account. He / She has a comprehensive knowledge of : -
Customer pipeline, process flow chart for the key molecules, tech transfer - Sartorius Bioprocess Portfolio His / Her mission is to generate new opportunities to increase the turnover middle / long term by identifying how Sartorius Portfolio can best be used to help optimize a client process in development.
Develops and achieves account targets (i.e. market share) for the assigned PD Centersand ensures regular updates in close cooperation with partners in the geographies (local sales, kam team etc.)
Implements procedures and methods that add value to the customerand generate additional business opportunities. Seeks for continuous improvement andconsults and challenges our customers in respect to Total Cost of Ownership.
In this respect the Business Development Manager identifies customer issues and preparescustomer relevant and specific supporting data including but not limited to cost savingopportunities and implementation strategies, utilizing the entire Sartorius Group capabilities
Contributes to successful completion of international and local (at PD Centers) negotiations(RFIs, RFQs etc.), projects and contracts with the customer ensuring that customer businessneeds are met while representing the best interests of Sartorius Stedim
Price negotiations and deal closing for the assigned PD Centers
Establish local relationships with customer key company representatives (especially in the R&D and Process Developments Groups, promotes our products, services and commitment to customer satisfaction to support business retention and expansion (Bioprocess and Lab Products)
Communicates with customers on an ongoing basis to maintain the relationship and ensures a positive experience with Sartorius products and services
Accelerates introduction of newly launched products, services and solutions at the accounts and provides structured and regular market and application feedback to internal stakeholders
Coordinates Application Specialists for the assigned PD CentersThis position is located in Belgium.
Skills and experience that you need to bring to our company
Bachelor’s degree required (engineer or scientist in the Biopharm industry preferred).
Minimum 2 years of successful experience in Process Development (Fermentation, UF / DF, Purification,), Process / Manufacturing support or in a similar function.
Experience with the development of scale up and scale down models, validations, investigations, process optimizations and troubleshooting.
Relevant technical knowledge and extensive industry knowledge (Pharma / Biotech) thatallows to successfully compete in our target markets
Additional experience in cGLP manufacturing (commercial manufacturing) is a plus
Experience within functional matrix organizations is a plus
Managerial agility that allows to lead and implement strategy and initiatives in highlyregulated and competitive global markets
Ability to work independently and be self-driven (highly motivated and patient), withcontinual attention to business retention and expansion
Ability to manage complex issues using innovation and processes.
Skilled in developing action plans and programs to position Divisional or corporate priorities
Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization internally and externally
Experienced in interfacing with Quality, Facilities Engineering, Senior Management, Manufacturing and Process Development is a plus
Computer skills utilizing MS Office products, email and other proprietary software
Valid driver license required
Overnight travel will be required
Fluid in English and at least one additional language is a must
French (native speaker)
