The SAP Infrastructure & Database Analyst is accountable for managing the delivery of system, infrastructure & database management across the GSK Vaccines Global SAP Infrastructure.
They are responsible for ensuring on a day to day basis the Global SAP Infrastructure & databases are operating optimally.
This includes delivery of appropriate processes to manage : monitoring, incident resolution, enhancement delivery, compliance adherence (e.
g. licences, GxP), support queries & continuity planning. Liaison with the Vaccines Tech team, other Tech teams and the Business teams internally is required to support the delivery of this critical service for the GSK.
External communications and collaboration are required to ensure critical patches, component fixes & general support are maintained.
The SAP Infrastructure & Database Analyst will continually improve the service processes, seeking to maintain service performance KPIs within guidelines and KPIs.
The resource will also support & manage a small team of infrastructure specialists from the contingent worker or strategic partners.
Manage existing Global SAP infrastructure components and applications for the Linux & Unix platforms e.g. SAP, DB2 Databases & Big Data platforms, ensuring appropriate processes are in place to support the continued service (e.g. backups)
Provide appropriate service & support activities related to existing Global SAP infrastructure and databases within the Vaccines Tech Service Model, including liaison with internal & external groups as appropriate, to maintain SLA adherence
Implement platform maintenance automation on Unix & Linux (SUSE Manager, Puppet Enterprise)
Implement new technologies to improve compliance, performance and efficiency of the Global SAP infrastructure
Support the implementation of new technologies not related to the Global SAP infrastructure (e.g. cloud integration)
Collaborate with the GSK Tech Ops group to ensure existing and new technologies comply with GSK Standards
Collaborate with the GSK Tech Ops group to ensure delivery of new technologies or maintenance to existing infrastructure is on time, to the right cost & quality
Ensure appropriate support mechanisms are in place with the right resources to support new technologies
Provide expertise and support for Business & IT Continuity Planning for the Global SAP infrastructure, including HA & DR procedures.
Implement continuous improvement to Global SAP Infrastructure & supporting processes.
Provide guidance & support to Contingent Workers & 3rd Parties, ensuring proper management & compliance of the Global SAP solution
Basic Qualifications :
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals :
Minimum Bachelor’s degree level in IT.
Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP Systems architecture, installation, configuration and administration.
Minimum 2 years of experience in project management.
Linguistic skills : fluent French and English (written and spoken).
Excellent communication skills including the ability to collaborate with both technical and business colleagues.
