As a Software Manager for our OAM team, you will lead, manage, and mentor an engineering team developing the next-generation management software for our products running on Public & Private Clouds, Virtual, COTS, and Appliances.
You are an accomplished hands-on leader that can solve complex technical challenges while also capable of inspiring others and fostering a collaborative and sustainable team culture.
You will partner up with cross functional team members in UX, Product Management, Product Marketing and Customer Success to create and maintain all OAM related products.
You have a passion for building high quality software on-time all the time and you keep up with latest trends and best practices in the industry.
Mentor and manage a team of engineers (front end and back end) throughout the software development lifecycle
Define, develop, deliver and maintain a variety of software applications
Responsible for overall planning, execution and successful delivery of projects with quality on-time all the time
Responsible for delivering on all commitments on-time all the time with quality
Responsible for new innovations and efficiency improvements
Contribute to architecture, requirements and designs

Responsible for performance management and coaching of the team members.
This position would be based in Waterloo, Canada.
What skills you bring
Bachelor’s or Masters (or equivalent) degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 5+ years of work experience in Software Industry
3-5 years as team lead or manager of a cross-functional engineering team
3-5 years of hands on software development expertise
1+ years of experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum
Demonstrable knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
Prior experience in delivering scalable & robust software products
Experience with NETCONF and ConfD would be an asset
Experience in Database Systems (SQL) would be an asset
Passion for people, performance improvement and team building
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-starter with strong multi-tasking abilities.
