Job Summary

The finance assistant ensures the general running of theadministration and finance tasks for the Euro DC organization.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities

1.To maintainand monitor the general processing Financial transactions according to BelgianAccounting rules using Baan financial system.

2.To takecare of VAT filling / Intrastat declarations.

3.To supportthe preparation of the statutory accounts, as well as supporting internal andexternal audits.

4.To takecare and manage the payroll entries.

5.To managevarious administrative tasks as invoices booking, payments preparation, officesupplies orders, employee’s expenses follow up, petty cash.

6.To performBS reconciliations statements.

7.To supportpreparation of the monthly financial reporting to regional management.

8.To assistand prepare various monthly, quarterly and yearly analysis of various accountsfor UK / US documentation.

9.To assistin capital expenditures follow-up and Fixed Assets admin

10.To operatein compliance with Company’s Internal Controls.

11.Toprepare / support monthly cash flow.

12.To performtesting of a new ERP (Oracle) implementation (50% or more) and document testresults

13.Providesongoing support and troubleshooting of deployed processes.

14.Assist withdevelopment of training materials,

15.Be anactive participant in the change management process

16.Monitorprocess performance


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Technical Competencies

  • Knowledgeof an ERP system (Baan, Oracle) is a plus, complemented by Hyperion, Microsofttools, Business Intelligence tools.

  • Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting orequivalent.
  • Fluent inFrench, good knowledge of English.
