Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Business Development Support Engineer, Base Oils located in Ghent, Belgium through February 17, 2021 at 11 : 59 p.
m. (Central European Time).
This role provides technical support and assistance to support 3rd party base oil (BO) sales in Europe. The individual would be the primary contact for Europe customers, Supply Chain or BO team on product technical or quality issues and will support business development managers on technology projects and industry committees.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to :
Provide routine technical service and respond to routine questions on applications, performance characteristics and product qualifications
Manage supporting documentation and entry into CRM database
Ensure product integrity e.g. performing checks, coordinating sample analyses & results, determine blend ratios & coordinate non-routine laboratory tests
Manage quality management system, REACH activities and contracts, and ISO 9001 certification and audit activities
Provide specific support as required, e.g. data gathering for scenario planning on sales and logistics options
Assist lead product development engineer with technology projects & scoping; may be asked to lead cross functional projects and teams
Participate and represent Chevron Base Oils at industry committees and events
Organize conference contracts and logistics for Europe
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor degree in Chemistry or scientific discipline
Ability to analyze large data sets and clearly present results
Ability to build effective working relationships
Preferred Qualifications :
3-4 years experience in an industrial experience in a technical capacity
Knowledge of base oils, lubricants and their applications
Relocation Options :
