The European Application Center (formerly Intrion) for Service Robotics is located in Huizingen, Belgium and specializes in robot-

centric automation solutions for e-commerce, retail, fresh food, non-food and express parcel segments. Our portfolio ranges from robotic products to modular cells, engineered turnkey solutions (like high-

bay warehouses or goods to man picking) and lifecycle management services.

As Integration Engineer you will work with cross-functional teams throughout the entire lifecycle of the solution to anticipate and resolve system design and integration issues during solution design, production and installation.

You will be responsible to define and describe the controls concept, translate them into a functional analysis that will be used as a guideline for code development by PLC or PC Engineers.

Your responsibilities

  • Define concept controls (PLC and / or PC) in close cooperation with the sales & solution teams;
  • Create work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility with regular follow-up with programmers team;
  • Test controls concept through emulation or simulation tools;
  • Write the functional analysis as a guideline for programmers;
  • Ensure Operators and other End-User interfaces (HMI) are user-friendly;
  • Define and write test protocols;
  • Provide assistance to internal project managers and end-users related to controls issues;
  • Capture, analyze and share lessons learned throughout the project across the organization;
  • Proactively support issue resolution during project delivery to avoid delays or any other form of negative impact to a project implementation;
  • Program smaller parts of the solution on a regular basis, to keep knowledge regarding emerging software and programming methods state of the art.
  • Your background

  • An Engineering degree in electromechanics, electronics or automation (or equivalent by experience);
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in automation project design, preferably in a logistics environment;
  • Pragmatic and hands-on mindset;
  • Detail oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Able to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders in ways that pro-mote beneficial working relationships;
  • Team player with very good communication skills in Dutch or French with a good knowledge of English.
  • Willing to work on-site in Belgium or abroad;
