We are looking for a Facility Project Lead to join our team in Geel and Eindhout. Your Role The facility project lead is responsible for the planning and organization of facility projects.
He / she oversees the renovation of buildings and warehouses, he / she manages relationships with contractors, control space allocation and maintain facility project budgets.
Your Responsibilities Have technical knowledge on one or more of the following topics : electricity / electronics (knowledge of technical failures), ventilation techniques, industrial engineering, maintenance of machines, air treatment, measurement and control technology, management of electrical and mechanical infrastructure, etc.
Plan, execute and control building measures (new buildings and modifications) while supervising the preparation & implementation of logistics and office buildingsResponsible for respecting all directives concerning building and operations licenses as well as extension and application of new licenses and making sure our warehouses and offices comply with all local zoning laws and regulations You are the direct contact person for external services, you follow up on suppliers and contractors, look for competitive alternatives and keep supplier data base up to date.
Monitoring budgets and approving contracts in collaboration with the line managerContribute and adhere to current Facility management projects (Corporate / Region / Local)Work closely with the business / stakeholders to ensure business needs are fully understood at all times and potential buy in can be accomplished.
Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facilities on a 24 / 7 basis.Create a culture of continuous improvement and professionalism through KPI's, benchmarking, SLA's and implementation of best practicesDevelop and update procedures, guidelines and working instructions making them QSHE compliant and deliver status reports on facility projects on different levels within the organizationImpacts the KN’s ability to win and retain business, meet customer requirements in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner and create a transparent Facility Strategy.
Your Skills and Experiences Bachelor / Master in facility management / civil engineering / construction / environmental engineeringWell-versed in technical / engineering operations and facilities management best practices Good knowledge of (Project) Management tools and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles along with good understanding of legal / contractual issuesExcellent verbal and written communication skills in both English & Dutch / German, knowledge of a 3rd language is an advantageExcellent customer focus and ability to understand user’s requirements and show high degree of administrative skillsAbility to analyze and process (big) data and perform risk analysis as well as decisions under pressure and prioritize a varied workloadExcellent organizational, planning, negotiating and leadership skills as well as ability to take initiativeAbility to successfully lead projects, communicate and cooperate with multiple parties
