The working environment
The Fleet D&D group is responsible for the projects related to the decommissioning of the Belgian Nuclear Power Plants of Electrabel.
It includes projects related to the preparation and execution of post-operational and dismantling activities.
Within the Fleet D&D group you will manage project(s) mainly related to the preparation of dismantling activities in the framework of the decommissioning of the Belgian Nuclear Power Plants of Electrabel, and in particular :
You manage and monitor the scope, the schedule, the budget, the performances, the HSE (according to a zero accident philosophy’) and nuclear safety aspects, the quality and the profitability of the project
You manage and drive the design and / or implementation of the project
You organise meetings with the Client and develop a partnership approach with the Client
You take care of the technical and commercial contacts with the Clients and partners, if any, and you define commercial actions when appropriate
You take care of the requirements of the O&M Client’s teams and monitor Client’s satisfaction
You attend steering, project, and purchasing committees (internal and external) and prepare the associated documents to convince the management and the stakeholders
In coordination with involved stakeholders, you determine an optimised purchasing strategy for the project
You manage the project procurement activities (tender documents, tendering, negotiation, contracting and invoicing) for packages and insure that the Client’s requirements / targets are met
You set up a project organisation in accordance with the needs of the project
You define the tasks and delegate them amongst the people involved and you empower them to carry out the tasks
You take care of internal contacts with the metiers and support departments (procurement, legal, finance, IT, risk management, communication, )
You coordinate the lead engineers of each discipline and you verify the adequate integration of the various specialities in the project
After consulting the experts, you determine the outline for an optimal technical design
You share your expertise with your project team.
You have a master degree in engineering
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, of which at least 2 years as a project manager or deputy project manager
You have a technical background and preferably experience in the development, design and realisation of nuclear power plants projects
You have preferably a good knowledge of licensing and radwaste management aspects of nuclear projects
You are familiar with technical, financial and leadership aspects related to the job profile.You are sensitive to Health and Safety aspects
You are able to analyse problems correctly, you are a team player, you can handle individual and general objectives easily and you are pragmatic, dynamic, precise and creative
You are flexible, good at planning concurrent assignments and you are a good organiser, even in unexpected circumstances
You are a good team manager with an eye for meeting the Client’s expectations
You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You are flexible, resistant to stress, rigorous and assertive.
You have the ability to take decisions even in difficult situations. You are able to convince people
You have good knowledge of Dutch or French and a good knowledge of English.You have good knowledge of usual MS Office Tools
You are geographically located in the Brussels HQ with occasional visits to the Belgian NPP sites (Doel and Tihange) and possibly outside Belgium.
In function of the project, you could be located mainly on the Doel or Tihange site.
