The Global Manager Research & Technology Transformation has two key aspects to the role. Firstly, implementing cross-functional networks across our 6 zones to deliver Grants and Tax Benefits to AB-InBev by defining the strategy, stakeholders (internal and external), processes and finally drive project execution.
R&D, Supply CAPEX, Carbon Neutral programs, and Patent Strategy will be in scope of activities covered by the incentives networks.
Secondly, to create disruptive new value to the organization via implementing open innovation platforms via connecting start-ups, inventors, accelerated innovation / technology programs (e.
g. EIT Food, Bio-Based Industries Consortium), academia, business partners, national R&D programs / ventures (e.g. UK Innovate) and other innovation clusters inside ABI (e.
g. Tech Supply, Beer Garage, ZXV) to our R&D strategy and business needs.
Aligning Tax Benefits and Networks
Supporting our Tax Benefit Strategy Framework and PMO within the Technical & Commercial Innovation Factory programs, working closely together with ZITECs, GPO, Finance / Tax, Legal and external Tax expert companies
Ensure and align proper prioritization of global opportunities for AB InBev top markets / countries, aligned with Supply long term strategies.
Building and developing networks and capabilities
Maintaining an internal Global R&D network across Zone and Global focused on developing and sharing knowledge, best practice, and value via tax benefits linked to Innovation, Technology, Sustainability and R&D.
Manage non-GITEC network of excellence centers linked to complementary capabilities required to deliver successfully prioritized innovation projects.
e.g. Beer Garage, ZXV, Universities, Research Centers, etc)
Establish framework and coordinate creation of key strategic alliances with Universities
Ensure excellent communications to the team on opportunities and challenges in upcoming legislation.
Drive sources of external funding towards our long-term technology pipeline
Ensure cross-functional team continuous development in soft, leadership, methodological and technical skills in our related areas of expertise, keeping updated AB InBev know-how and internal capabilities
Create, Develop and Protect disruptive new value .
Act as the SPOC for ZXV and support incubation of potentially disruptive technologies identifying alternative non-equity funding mechanisms.
Ensure our Intellectual Property creation and subsequent value capturing is guaranteed throughout all stages of the development cycle and within all pre-commercial external relationships
Collaborate with GITEC IP Manager to support internal AB-InBev IP valorization through potential license models.
Support zones, Global Supply and Ventures in setting up their projects in a tax optimal way working in close collaboration with Tax and LCA counterparts
You have a University degree or equivalent professional experience (min. 5 years) in Supply Chain, Tax, Corporate Affairs and / or Finance
You have a detailed understanding of tax and / or corporate affairs issues impacting the brewing industry
You should have experience and knowledge of Transfer Pricing and / or Excise
You have a proven track record as a networker (internal AB InBev and external)
You have a proven track record of managing in change management and successful experience in highly ambiguous, continuously adaptive environments
You are a leader with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to persuade and influence, and collaborate effectively with a team
You can integrate multiple perspectives, strategically analyze, and synthesize to meaningfully contribute to the business objectives
You are results-oriented with respect for quality, timing, and attention to detail.
Operational experience is a plus. (i.e. laboratories, breweries, vertical plants, logistics)
You are fluent in English, and any other languages are an asset
