About the RoleThe Journey to Cloud Product organisation is looking for an experienced Java developer to extend the software development and testing overall effort on its product portfolio.
As a Developer / System Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled team where your professional software development and testing skills will be crucial to the delivery of mission critical financial software for the global financial industry using Agile software development methodologies.
Education University degree in computer science or related field. Or equivalent work experience. What to Expect? Design, develop, integrate, test, install and support programs / systems.
Analyse functional and non-functional requirements, like, input / output requirements, information flow, and hardware / software requirements.
Evaluate and recommend technical feasibility and effort estimates of the proposed solutions. Participate in the definition, software development and integration of software components.
Provide technical assistance to colleagues and assist in resolving problems reported by colleagues and customers. Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, prepare and give presentations to customers.
Support the delivered software and being part of a 'Center of Expertise' problem solving team. What will make you successful?
Degree in Information Technology, or equivalent work experience At least 3 years of relevant experience in Java development A solid foundation in computer science, with proven competencies in object-oriented design, algorithms, and design patterns Soft skills Adaptability and responsiveness to change, proactive and autonomous Open to new ideas, innovative mindset, intellectual curiosity and self-motivated learner Takes accountability (own and in team) for delivering results, with strong communication skills Quality oriented, meticulous, rigorous, disciplined Agile mindset Technical skills Good knowledge of Java, XML (xsd, xslt) and security technologies Knowledge and interest in integration technologies like Apache Karaf, Apache Camel, OSGi Knowledge of Windows, Unix / Linux operating systems, and in developing applications suited for these systems in terms of performance Knowledge of database technology (Oracle, Elastic, .
